Konwa Group Celebrates 50 Years of Steady Growth and Social Contribution

Konwa Group recently marked its 50th anniversary, celebrating five decades of steady growth, resilience and responsible entrepreneurship. In conjunction with the milestone, the Group donated a total of RM1.08 million to 39 beneficiary organisations, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Founder and Executive Chairman Datuk Wira Lim Chin Hua reflected that the Group’s 50-year journey was built on discipline, perseverance and a strong focus on fundamentals rather than rapid expansion. Over the years, Konwa Group successfully navigated multiple economic cycles, including the 1985 recession, the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis, the 2008 Global Financial Crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, by maintaining prudent risk management, sound cash flow practices and a clear long-term direction.

He emphasised that sustainable business success depends on strong foundations, noting that expansion without proper collection discipline and risk control often leads to failure. Guided by principles of stable operations and responsible growth, Konwa Group continues to prioritise long-term sustainability and value creation.
